Figured I would tuck this here.

So last year as I was meandering through the isles of Walmart. I saw something on display on one of the end caps.
The Hamilton Beack breakfast sandwich maker ( a single and a double model).
I jokingly remarked to my wife that I needed that for hunting. She said why?
So, she could make me sammichs of course.... duh!!!!!
I got the " you must be crazy " look.

A little while back, my birthday rolls around and guess what I got as a gift????

So my curiosity was up and I looked online for recipes. Found some, got an idea of what edibles I would need.
So, next trip to Wally World, I swing by and picked up some Canadian bacon, microwave bacon, crossiants, English muffins, cheese, etc.....
1st attempt was "classic" breakfast sammich= English muffin, cheese, egg, Canadian bacon, or ham, or bacon.
I admit, it was a learning experience. It does say the meat has to be already cooked.
I also recommend using "scrambling" the egg prior to cooking.

Anyway, it was good.
Then I started getting creative with the sammichs. Created a meat lovers supreme.

One night, made mini pizzas , --English muffins, pizza sauce, little pepperoni, chopped onion, peppers, diced bacon, etc....
I admit they are good, pay attention to layering order. And thickness, easy to burn the cheese.

Then another day for breakfast I made stuffed crossiants.
Some with canned pie filling ( Apple, peach, etc... You get the idea.) others with cream cheese or Nutella spread, or jam/preserves.
I admit, I like this toy. It can do two of whatever at a time, and usually done in 5 minutes.

Is it easier to stop at the quickie mart on way to blind and get a gut bomb? Probably!
Is this thing a novelty? I don't think so. I actually started looking for counter space to have it left out to use often.
Clean up is pretty easy, with a damp paper towel.

My personal review, is it does great. Thankfully, I have the double unit instead of the single.
If you have kids, they will love the little mini pizzas.
I actually foresee this thing getting packed when leave for hunting camp, and used at the house quite frequently.
I don't think the designers, had hunters in mind when they made this, but I believe we will definitely benefit from it.
