Where you at in East TN.? I'm new to the forum; just started duck hunting last year. Anyway, I switched to laminated bows (recurves and longbows) in 2010. Killed a doe with my Black Widow PCH recurve last year on opening day. I'm in Philadelphia - Paint Rock area. What kind of longbow you shooting (self bow; reflex/deflex; Hill style; etc.)? You should check out the leatherwall on stickbow.com. It's a traditional archery blog with tons of information.

Blessings, Joshua

Thats a nice shot and a good looking buck my man! Is that an old Simmons landshark broadhead? I havent shot a recurve or a longbow and have been thinking about giving the wheels up completelyand going back to the good stuff but it is a hard line to draw. Congrats on your first trad kill.

You will need to sign up on photobucket.com. Once you upload pictures to that, all you have to do is copy the IMG and paste it.

My son shot his first deer right before dark this afternoon a nice 9 pt.Last day as a 6 yr old tomorrow is his 7th birthday. He passed on a doe and a spike cause he wanted to wait till tomorrow to kill a deer so it would be on his birthday. But when he saw this buck he wasn't waiting. Now I'm glad he didn't let me talk him into shooting the spike.I am so proud! Soon as i figure out how to upload pics I will post some my photo bucket has changed and I cant figure it out. http://mob1167.photobuck...s/q630/D84F/100_2071.jpg . http://mob1167.photobuck...s/q630/D84F/100_2070.jpg . http://mob1167.photobuck...s/q630/D84F/100_2063.jpg . Got them on here but I cant figure out how to display them, anyone know what I'm not doing right???

Thanks He did! Today was his 7th birthday and he shot a 5pt at 150yds not a great hit so we had to get out of the stand and crawl out in the field then he took a 130 yd shot free handed and hit him in the neck and dropped him. He has been tore up all weekend and is HOOKED. I couldn't be more proud! Still cant get the pics to upload but here are the links. http://i1167.photobucket...s/q630/D84F/100_2097.jpg . http://i1167.photobucket...s/q630/D84F/100_2094.jpg . http://i1167.photobucket...s/q630/D84F/100_2103.jpg

Thanks Red, its been pretty good so far... After being away most of the last 2 seasons and this archery season it's nice to get back on track!... My slug gun is a Browning Gold, same gun i duck hunt with... Bought a rifled barrel for it and and a Leupold shotgun scope on it... Shoots as good as anything I own... Hornady SST's through it

Nice. I want to get a slug gun soon, there are a fair amount of houses around the land I hunt, I'd feel better shooting a slug. Looked at getting a rifled barrel for my Suprnova, but it costs as much as a new gun!
